African-American Health Information

The African American Health Promotion Program brings together organizations and individuals who are directly concerned about the health of African Americans in our community.

The goals are to provide unique health-related events and programs that will motivate, educate and support the African American community, and provide a system of communication about available health resources locally, statewide and nationally.

Projects of the program include Roots and Heritage Festival health activities, health fairs, health related presentations, cultural diversity workshops, "Sisters Together: Move More - Eat Better," and coordination of the African American Health Network.
