Immunization Day Care Audit Program

The Immunization Day Care Audit Program purpose is to increase the immunization status of children in licensed Child Day Care Facilities in Fayette County and thus decrease vaccine-preventable diseases.

The program staff person visits each licensed day care and performs a review of the immunization status of all children enrolled. The staff person provides technical assistance to day care owners and staff regarding immunization requirements. This program exists because of the Day Care and Preschool Immunization Lexington-Fayette Urban County Board of Health Regulation No. 30 which was approved in 1994.
