Tobacco Use Prevention for Youth

Youth face many obvious and subtle pressures to use tobacco products, including cigarettes, flavored cigarettes (bidis), and smokeless tobacco (chew, snuff).

Helping children and young adults understand these pressures and learn ways to cope with them are an important part of the Health Department's Tobacco Use Prevention Program. Below are descriptions of many of our programs specifically for youth.

For more information call Allison Evans at (859) 288-2327 or email AllisonE.Evans@ky.gov.

"Three to Five" Tobacco Prevention Program

You're never too young to learn to avoid tobacco products!  This class targets children ages 3 - 5 years old to teach them the risks of tobacco use.  A set of resources is provided to parents.
